So tonight, looking at my schedule for next week, I notice I'm working 2 days instead of my usual 6 only getting a total of 5 hours for that week compared to my normal 25-30 hours a week. Upon asking my manager why the hell I have so little hours as well as the 2 other inside workers. Apparently the store owner is pissed off at the drivers because they do nothing because the insiders do everything that involves the inside, excluding dishes. So because the drivers have nothing to do in between runs, they just hang around in the back and bullshit till their run is up. This is perfectly fine with me, I have no problem with that. What the owner wants is the drivers to be doing something "productive" while they are waiting for their runs. So what he does to "cure" this problem is cut all the insider hours and days basically down to nothing. The biggest problem I see with this is, one of the managers is going to be stuck on a Friday night or some shit with 200 pizzas that needs to be made, and him being the only person there to make them. It's just going to put a bunch of stress on his shoulder. The drivers can't help him. So I don't get why you have to cut me hours when you could simply have a meeting or some shit about what they can and need to do when they get back from runs or put up a thing on the board saying this is what such and such needs to be done. Where do you stand on this?

Just politely tell your boss that if push comes to shove on Friday night and he needs extra help that you will be available and only $10/hour extra. If he fires you for that remark, file a workman's comp claim and sign up for unemployment. Don't, whatever you do, let him fuck you around.

You know what message the manager is sending you rmfc? That you're expendable and they can train a new whatever... its a pizza place and the dough comes already made.

It's not the managers idea, it's the store owner who is in there maybe once a month. We have 15 drivers and only 5 insiders an normally we are running 2-4 insiders. 1 is always at the phone, 1 is slapping dough and putting on sauce, 1-2 are putting on toppings, and the other one is either running the oven or on phone.

Next time you are at work bring your weight bench in. Show them what's up and bench 4 plates in front of the owner. RMFC

You should get a job where you can get in a cussing match with your boss and still get paid at the end of the day. It's great.

Well it's obvious that you need to tell the owner what an internet badass you are and to give you more hours or aunt betty is kickin his dominoes ass.
