Im not much of a reader at all but a couple years back my wife bought me an older copy of The Outlaw Gunner for my birthday and I didnt have any trouble getting into it. I know we've discussed titles before but its been a while and i couldnt find where it was talked about. What were some of the other books you guys suggested? Anything that has to do with the older times in waterfowling's past. What else do you think I'd like?

It's not from older times but 2 of Doug Larsens books, "don't shoot the decoys" and "the duck gods must be crazy" are great waterfowling reads. They'll make you laugh and reminisce and wish season would just get here. I have both and have read them more times than I can count.

"The jewel of the Pacific flyway". Is a decent read but you'll burn threw it relatively quick. Another one I've picked up was. " They came to shoot. " lots of info on gun clubs of the west coat. Really interesting to a duck club dork like me.

A Hundred Years of Texas Waterfowl Hunting by R. K. Sawyer. Excellent with lots of pictures from the past. He also wrote
Texas Market Hunting but it is not as good but still informative.
You don't even have to like Texas to enjoy these books.
