That's the only kind of crappie I know of around here. Sure your no thinking of white bass?

Definitely not white bass. We have black crappie up here and occasionally I think you find white, but maybe they are just lighter colored blacks if I've never seen one like that?

Those all look like whites to me. That's what ours look like down south too.

Those are whites, blacks are speckled and don't have the tigerish stripes down the back.

I've only caught a couple white crappie and always on the WI river.
