Just to say I did it. We had a pretty good water slide at a shitty amusement park back in OR called enchanted forest. Probably one if those small town urban legends but supposedly some kid covered himself in dish soap before going down to get more speed and went over the side on one of the turns. Broke every bone in his body.

@flintrriverfowler can back me up on this one but in High Falls, GA there is a shitty water park and back when they made the slides out of fiber glass and not HDPE like now a kid went down on his stomach feet first and had some of this toe nails ripped off! Gives me the heebbee geebees every time I think about it.

Sounds like good quality fun. The swimming pool where I grew up had a fiberglass slide, it would tear you up. Good thing it wasn't very big, could only imagine a big steep one.

From what I read, the problem was that not everyone had enough speed to maintain centrifugal force all the way around, so they'd fall straight down from the top of the loop. If you're going down feet first on your butt, this means your face has a good chance of smacking the inside of the loop as you fall.
