New Call the Wacky Quacker!

I'm kind of new to call collecting, but I thought I would share my newest call. It's called a Wacky Quacker, liked the look of it but don't know much of the specifics about it. It doesn't take a lot of air to blow and has a really raspy sound. One of the easiest calls I have used so far. I'm not thrilled about the color, I am hoping to find a more subdued color for my next one. Otherwise I may have to paint this one, it's a little bright to put on my lanyard. But all in all, a nice easy call with a good sound.

I took a few pics to share, hope you like it.

Great find joel! Those are predominantly used by the guys in the valley around Eugene and have best results when several guys use them together, group calling if you will. More of a "feed chatter" distraction type thing. Keep up the practice and you'll have it mastered in no time, while driving or watching football or whatever.

I don't know what that means? It's a duck call, has nothing to do with keys.

Thanks JR! I wish I could find a few more. I'll keep practicing and let you know how it goes. Can't wait to try it during duck season.

Doesn't Buck Tidwell make those. I talked to him last week, he's a stand up guy and does great work.

Is he friends with Stu? I think I know who you are talking about.

It is a quite distinctive shape. I find it pleasing to the eye. Hurts my hand if I try calling with it for too long though.

Yeah, I tried Pavarotti's new calls also. He teamed up with stu and they make calls out of old wine bottles and stabilized pasta noodles. It has the range you would expect from a Pavarotti custom call.

It's a Pavarotti! I think that "Pavarotti" is Polish for "Awesome!" Lucky guy, wish I could try one.

Have you seen their call called the Morpheus? It a transparent acrylic with some crushed up computer parts mixed into it. Very unique call. It doesn't have the best reviews though. I guess it doesn't work near water and is quick to fall apart It's a good wall hanger to keep inside but not one you would actually want to take hunting with you. It's temperamental and doesn't have much range.

Just noticed my thread about duck calls got moved out of the duck call forum. Disregard my previous post. Post whatever the fuck you want.

Had to hang one of those damn things off my lanyard and wear it to the check station after losing a bet.

Haha! I think those things reproduce naturally. I have found 3 of those stupid calls in the last few years. No one knows where they came from and no one has claimed them.

I started my collection late last year when they first came out, I might even have prototype models. I particularly like the fact that come with color coordinated lanyards. Believe it or not, with proper breath control, you can make them sound like a red head. I am very impressed with the quality craftsmanship of these calls. As for the horse dick honker call, yep, I've had one of those for about 35 years, they work great!

Nice! Those must be limited edition. Never seen the ones with the eyes. I'm tempted to try mine during duck season, I'm just afraid of getting it dirty.

Those are older "stickered" models. They go for big bucks.
