Hey Olly, over the holiday weekend I watched a ship go by here, sea bound, with small inflatable hull CG boats in front and behind. Both had bow mounted guns. I'd seen the ship a day earlier on it's way to port, but without escort. It had either a Libyan or Liberian flag, not sure which. Any idea what could have been up with that? I also saw what I think was a fuel barge go by with a single escort, but I'm pretty sure that was to discourage any fireworks that may have gotten sent in its direction from shore.

Probably had cargo on it leaving port of a dangerous nature. The CG does hundreds of escorts every day in and out of ports. I did so many while I was at an operational unit my first year, pretty boring stuff. The cruise ships were the best, Galveston has a terminal there and we always escorted them in and out of port. Saw lots of titties on those escorts.

Roger I didn't know if the ship's flag a or heightened security around the holiday had anything to do with it. Unfortunately no titties on this particular ship.
