its a time saver for sure! had it built in about 10 working hours. would have been much quicker but i wanted to make it break down for cleaning and replacing worn out parts. crushed them down to about 1"

I have an idea for a different design that I will try this week if I find the time. Anyone with a welder should be able to build this kind (hint hint, assa)

But since it's a semi-auto can crusher, I'm pretty sure it's illegal in MD.

Do you crush them to make more room in the garbage can?
We have a deposit on bottles and cans here so we don't throw them away.

I haul them in for scrap money. That just cuts down on storage space between runs.
And it's a cool party piece

Made the other one today. Only took about an hour and takes up much less space. Although it doesn't look as pretty, it does smash them even smaller...

I plead the 5th
Edit: for the record, they have been downsizing our parts inventory and these were literally in the dumpster. My company wastes more money than you would believe......
