The only beef I buy is hamburger, and it's gone from $10.97 for a 5 pound log to $13.97 just in the last few months. Fuck that.

to be honest Pintail, i havent. i never look at the bill or shelf price. if i need it, i need it and dont want to be pissed off that i have to spend extra for it

Beef always goes up in the summer here, a lot, all the summer folks get rail roaded and the locals along with them

On a slightly related note:
The prices of food, housing, and fuel are not calculated into the inflation index. Which is retarded, but that's the way it is. SO the next time you hear the govt talking about how inflation is "negligible", remember that it doesn't take into account how much you pay to eat, live, and drive anywhere. Which is probably about 75% of what people spend money on.

feed cattle are at record highs and still climbing . i just wrote a check out for a three loads of feeder cattle that made me about shit.

Probably a year or more since I've bought anything beef. Will rarely buy pork or chicken, prefer to eat out of my freezer.
