I don't ask for these, I'm not much of a religious man myself.

When I was home I got to meet one hell of a kid. 7 years old, and kicking brain cancers ass for 5. He was my girl friends best friend when they were in the hospital. His smile could out shine the sun, his laugh was a laugh that meant he appreciated it. He never took life for granted, his mom walked out when she found he was sick. Then a family adopted him for a paycheck. Never once visited him in the hospital.

Today, guys, that God damned disease finally bested the strongest kid I ever met. He passed away during an 8 hour surgery. Pray for the kid, and pray for my girlfriend. She was the only one there for him these past 5 years.

Here's to you, Daniel. Go have a child hood like you deserve, I wish I could have traded places with you, or show you the fire truck like I said I would. Thanks for what you taught me, kid.

Soon as I swallow the lump I will start praying. God bless your girl for providing him some friendship. I can't handle thinking of sick kids. Ones who deserve it the least before they had a chance. I have pm'ed this to a couple guys here but my wife's mother is really into prayer chains and we will pass this on to her. Prayers for your girlfriend Dale, prayers to Daniel who is at gods side now. From the Ayers family and a hundred others by the morning.

Dale...Daniel just mighta been introduced to you and your girlfriend for a reason. He sounds like he's definitely someone to look up too. May he rest in peace
