Question about planning a hunting trip... is this helpful?

Disclaimer: I work for a hunting & fishing company and we're doing some research about how to make it easier for people to go hunting. We want to make sure what we're working on is something that helps hunters solve a problem. I would love to hear your thoughts and feedback to make sure we're on the right track...

In my experience, planning a trip out to the blind can be a huge pain. Trying to call buddies, set up the time, answering questions, sending a bunch of texts, dealing with last minute cancellations, etc. The only thing I want to do is get out and hunt, but dealing with getting the trip set up takes effort. Seems the busier we all get, the harder it is to plan and get out. I've talked with outfitters who say the same thing about getting trips put together.

We think we're onto something to fix that problem. Especially for waterfowl hunting... Is this a problem for you? Check out the link below, it's a short video explaining what we're doing. Would this be helpful? Why or why not? Thanks for your insight!

Seems to be overcomplicating a problem that isn't there. Boat is going and they will either be there or they wont, I'm still hunting.

I've left people at the dock before. I had planned a hunt with an E7 who worked on the same base as I did back in MI. I gave him 20 min of my time after I launched the boat then I went hunting. If you aren't there the train's leaving the station.

Good point. What about when you're gearing up to get out with reliable buddies? Maybe flaking isn't a problem, but what about figuring out where to go or meet, talking about the trip, adding pics afterwards, splitting costs, etc. Any of that a pain to deal with?

Nope. Cell phones are a wonderful tool for accomplishing all of those tasks.

I'm old, grouchy, rude(extremely), and I guess I'm a racist too(did I miss anything?). I don't have any friends , so I have no problems. I have the hardest hunting partners there are and they are both brown, chocolate actually. They beat me to the gate in the morning and I have never had to wait for either one except to pinch a loaf.
Good on you for trying to capitalize on an idea but, I hope you haven't put too much time in to chasing the "Duck Dynasty" generation. For most of them it is a fad that will pass. The dedicated don't make you wait and don't make it more difficult. Just my 2 cents.
Good luck with your endeavors.
