Anyone else listen to it? Never had a desire to go to Argentina or Mexico to hunt but some of the episodes are changing my mind.

They are always talking about the duckhunting. I think they offer the dove and parakeets as an option in the afternoon or you can duck hunt again in the afternoon. Sounds like in Argentina they shoot a lot of white cheek Pintail, Rosie bills and silver teal. Might be some other ducks as well. They’ve mentioned shooting seven or eight different species.

There was pretty good episode about banding recently with Dr. Chris Nikolai from Delta Waterfowl. Every once in a while there’s some non-duckhunting related stuff. I’ve always found it enjoyable!

the other country hunts would be an experience but bringing birds back for taxidermy you need deep pockets they have to go to a licensed taxidermist with an import permit to do those birds which is more cost than a normal t,dermist

I would be fine with that. I lost the taxidermy bug a long time ago. I guess because most of my mounts got ruined with all my moving in the military. Pictures are sufficient for me these days.

never had much interest
in getting birds mounted ....except for one very large goose...it hit 5'11'3/4'" natural wingspan....not gonna cheat to get 6 foot...but thats just me....

the bug bites me every season ive been doing my own taxidermy since i was 14 im 70 now alot of birds have flew through my house over the years and never tire of doing them, ps ,a 6ft wingspan goose takes up alot of wall nice

You are Blessed to have that skill! I could only imagine if I tried to mount a bird.

its not the mounting part thats hard its the making it look as it did when it was alive thats the hard part its very rewarding when a bird turns out nice

Ramsey joined us banding blue-wings one day this past spring and really seemed to enjoy himself.

Must be sick or something.
In season I spend about 85 days afield.
Hours and hours watching ducks fly by.
In the afternoons we drive around looking for ducks in private fields trying to figure them out.
We literally tear up Chad's farm truck doing it.
Podcast? I get enough of it in arkansas.
