It took me a while to figure out how to not have it get "burnt".
Sapification is an exothermic reaction. It gives off heat. To prevent the soap from burning freeze the water and lye. (It won't freeze but get it icy cold)
Chill all the other ingredients and you don't get the darkened center.
Try it you will like it and the ladies...will love it.

Grannies lye soap is actually really good if you use the right oils.
Coconut, olive, and palm oils. That's called the soap trinity of oils.

Here February is soap time. It's cold out and you can set the soap outside when it's doing the chemistry part and your soap doesn't "burn ".
