Posted: Fri Jul 19, 2024 1:45 pmMan-o-man, the foreign imports have sure kept the local shrimpers from getting good prices for their catch. Made a run to Bayou la Batre at lunch, and picked up 30 lbs of just caught U-12's off the boat for $4 a lb. I did some shrimping back in the late 80's, and was getting $4 lb for 16-20's, to show how depressed the current prices are now.
