I guess, even though I look back at my last firing as one if the best things that ever happened to me it did leave a bit of a pit in my stomach for a solid two weeks. Damn, make me feel like an ass why don't ya

I was stupid and quit. I was basically brought into a meeting with no warning and made to feel like everything I accomplished in the last year as service manager meant nothing. I was blamed for every procedural problem that the company is having (even the ones that had nothing to do with me). So after 45 minutes of this in front of the whole rest of the company I said "Well, I know how to solve all of these problems, I'll go find another job". I loaded my tool box in the truck and left.

Like I said, I was stupid but this was just the last straw.

If you aren't respected, then there wasn't a future for you there anyways.

I guess the question to ask was were you really satisfied with the job if yes go back and explain yourself no pride in admitting you were frustrated. I believe i would do so and look for another job while dealing with the crap they may hand you. I also believe they need paper work to show you quit so my 2cents sorry how u feel but i dont think its over

I quit a job once on the fly (I was only 16 so it wasn't a career) anyway I was working at a box store called "Roses" and they wanted me to clean the womens restroom that had been covered with human feces literally. Like on the walls. I took off my vest and walked out, every man has his limits and for $5.15 an hour that wasn't worth it.

This is something i am so envious of regardless. I do not have these cahonies.

In 2003 I was a sales manager of a marina/boat yard. Was coming up on Labor Day weekend and I had my little brothers bachelor party. I had marked the weekend off on "the calendar" a month earlier. The Thursday before the weekend the owner tells me I can't take the weekend off as he has a fishing tournament, if I go I'm fired. I packed up my desk, stopped in the next morning to drop off my commissions and never looked back. Haven't had a boss since then. No regrets

I had been at that marina for 15 years!

You couldn't have given up that party for the perks????

Damn it was nice getting cheap boat parts wasn't it...
