My wife had a very bad stroke on Wednesday afternoon. Thankfully she had her phone with her and was able to call me and I was able to call 911 right away. However, she is likely going to have serious physical limitations. Her mind seems to be fine which is the most important thing, but her left side is not working. Let's pray that she can recover well enough to regain some independence. She will be in the hospital for some time and then for in house intense rehabilitation to try to regain as much function as possible.

Please pray for her. She's had so many medical problems and this is by far the worst. She is only 57 years old. Nobody deserves this, but someone so young that has worked so hard to overcome so many medical problems. It is beyond horrible.

Will do, Spin. From what I've seen of it, meaningful recovery can be tough but usually possible. Get after the therapy process, and especially in the first year.

We will be getting her into intense physical therapy as soon as she can get out of the hospital. I know it's a long slow process but much more recovery is possible then it may seem now. It just takes a long time.

Sorry to read this! As Rick said the therapy is key and also catching it early. Thank God she was able to call you! I will be lifting you two up in prayer every day!

Ouch!!! Sending prayers now Spinner, and I will add her to my prayer list, praying for a complete recovery.

Certainly hate to hear that Spinner! But a blessing she’s still mentally ok and was able to communicate to you she was in a bind. Will be sending prayers for patience, guidance, and understanding on the road to recovery!

Thanks. She's in a rehab hospital now. A little progress, but miles to go.
