Moved to the shotgun forum, it could use some love.

I have one just like that. 32" barrels and heavy but it will knock em dead.
I do the same thing but with a 12-gauge and Brileys EXR extended range choke tube. It IS a beautiful thing when the whole flock goes HEY...that ain't spose to happen and freaks.bill herian wrote:The Duck Hammer wrote:bill herian wrote:Might just be the 10 that I use (old SxS, made in spain, maker unknown) but cheap factory loads will knock them dead at 60 yards.

On most occasions that I kill a goose, I'm wearing my underwear and toting that 10 gauge. It usually happens while I'm making pancakes or watching the price is right. See them coming, run out to the garage, grab old two pipes, get under them, aim two birds in front of the goose you want to kill. It's beautiful I tell you. You can tell those bastards are thinking "No way can he hit us, we're way too high" Next thing you know Boris is calling mayday.

16-gauge ammo is hard to get but 20?
I shot a lot of ducks with my 20-gauge. Geese as well.
Am I the ONLY one?
