Compare the length on springs. The old one will be a bit shorter. Weaker too.

That spring is the only part that can fail under normal use. Replace every 3-5000 rounds.
Since we use high powered loads...replace it every 1000 rounds.
The rest of the gun is rock solid.

Thanks Acorn. I ordered the recoil spring today. I am happy to say it fed light target loads like a champ.

I had some good breaks for messing around.

All better now!

If you are going to have any problems...it will happen when mallards are lighting in your dekes.
Target loads and the ones we kill ducks with are two completely different animals.
You will see after your first duckhunt how dirty those shells are.
You cant go all season and not clean it. Its Not a Benelli.
Will make you a video of what to clean etc.
You only oil one place, the slide rails.
The rest. Just wipe with oily rag.
Tear the gun all the way down, wipeit off, reassemble. Easy peasy.

By the way...Got rid of boat. This means I cant hunt. That means I am considering selling some things. How much was your gun? Might sell some decoys too.

Nonsense. Buy a canoe and trolling motor if you have to. Stop being the victim.

Last time I walked in. Someone stole my cart. Buy buy buy.
Always the solution is "to buy".
I have the pintail but it came from Indiana. They dont title boats there either.
Want a carsten pintail I cant use, legally?
Have been stewing over a month. Refunded some heavy jingle to my pay hunters and canceled their hunts.
Buy? With what?

I would appreciate any video cleaning tips ya got Betty-

I have a 1654 with a 30hp and a pintail. I STILL plan on walking in on many hunts this year. All I need is a dozen hotbuys (texas rigged), one of my guns, and Miss Brandy.

I know for a fact I will be using my new Powerhunter ground blind, too. Love to hunt me some field geese!

Google asked for my phone number last night, too. I gave them a fake one, but then they sent an authentication text message to that number, which I of course couldn't retrieve. I use gmx.com for free email now.

Assateague,

Jarbo and I had a conversation with your name this morning that included pintails and funny internet posts...

Seriously. If I kill one, I cannot emphasize enough, nor find a font big enough, to announce it to the world. I will be an insufferable bastard, full of obscenities. Real talk.

The very first duck that landed in the slough last season... There was a 14-yr-old boy in the blind and I was whispering to him, "shoot it". He water-swatted the hell out of it and we all let him. Usually I don't get that kind of control in a duck blind but the other shooters were the boy's uncles. We all wanted him to kill that duck. It was a drake pintail.

UPDATE: Jarbo came by last night and shot the 390.

Our dogs had a big time playing together, as always.

No. The M2 was custom fitted for me. It is more ergonomically friendly than any shotgun I have ever seen. It is lighter and has history with me. The M2 is a very under rated (and over priced) shotgun imo.

Having said that, I will say my impression of the 390 so far is very good. It will probably see more action than expected. I really like it and I have been grinding the hell out of clays with it. I am looking forward to putting a new 26" barrel on it. My cousin wants the brass bead on it so I will trade him for a green one.

At this point I would say the 390 has exceeded all of my expectations. A really solid auto loader.

All better now!
