Question about Winchester SXP

Hello Forum World,
I won a DU Edition Winchester SXP Waterfowl Edition in 3". I have a waterfowl gun in a Benelli Nova that I love and I don't need a second waterfowl gun. I do need a home defense gun though, my question is: Do they make 18" barrels for this gun and will the "defender" series barrel fit my SXP. Can I remove the camo stock and put on a smaller stock? I want to keep as much of the original parts as possible, that way I can sell as a complete DU edition if need be.

THanks for any help.

May not be the answer you're looking for but why not sell it and buy a Remington 870 you'd have a TON of extra money for all kinds of tactical gadgets to put on the new shotgun.

And there are more accessories available and parts are less expensive for the 870.

They even make a home defense version of the 870 with a 16" barrel already.

I've been toying with the idea for a while, but I like to fiddle. I enjoy seeing the end product of me customizing

This.

But if you like to have something of your own, that's cool. I've done the same with 2 870s that I turned into trap hybrids. Instead of going through the trouble of trying to find a riot barrel, you could have a gunsmith chop the barrel and shorten the LOP. Any decent gun smith should be able to do this. Good luck either way you go.
