Tracking down lost decoys

Postby JSevier13 » Fri Apr 24, 2020 9:13 pm

Hello all. I am new to the group but hoping someone can point me in the right direction. My grandfather was a carver in Maryland and has sold decoys all over North America. He passed away in 2001 and my grandmother just recently passed as well. I am trying to track down decoys that he has made to try and bring them back to the family. His name was Charles Willard "Bill" Bowman. His carving career began in the Baltimore area and continued to Ocean City, MD, after retirement. He had carvings in the world-famous Ward Waterfowl Museum. From what I've seen in decoys I have recovered, his signature is "C.W. Bowman" with the "C" underlining the entire signature. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
