That's all very pleasant now, but...

When the first pup came home after my Sweet Chereaux became that, she'd hold him in her lap and rock him. Was really cute, but not nearly as cute as when he hit 96lbs, and she and the rocker would disappear under him. Kinda disappointing that she didn't rock our next two Chessie pups...

I hear what you're saying. Mom and dds were in the 65 lb range, so hoping she falls into that size range. Ya think the odds are good?

Hard to tell. Both Taz parents were around 50#, he is almost 70.

Clearly not foolproof, but that's as good of an indicator as you'll get without knowing how the sire and dam's siblings and parents and their siblings turned out. That "vertical pedigree" can be more telling in terms of genetic odds than just the parents.

I am going to throw out the Jarbo Genetic Litter Rule here:

They are individuals, even within a litter.

There we go, that makes 100 times.

(he is right about that, too)

I brother and sis in law just showed up last night with their foo foo dog and walker hound. Both females. Cadee's spent the whole morning trying to show em who the queen bitch of the backyard is

My mutts don't care if its thundering, lighting, raining or snowing outside, but they can't stand the water hose or for the sprinklers to be on.

Ha that's funny. My mutt is that way. He wants nothing to do with it. But my lab is all about water any way she can get to it.

I've been meaning to get one of those for Moose.

Sent from my phone.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams
