You'd do it if you knew wouldn't get caught.

I am not sure what a "Douche taint" is, but I think I agree.

They're just birds, for Pete's sake. A felony is ludicrous.

no shit man. No doubt if convicted, they'll do more time than a sex offender.

And I like how they added the last two charges of shooting over their daily limits on mallard and on pintail. Apparently in the off season those daily limits still apply.

It's not the charge they got that's fucked up...It's the charge that sex offenders get.

It wasn't me...

The guy who was ineligible for a FOID needed a felony because he was already a felon and that's why he couldn't get the FOID in the first place. That dumb fucker had to have know what he was doing. These guys are gonna show up in court with the "I am a free man and have a right to forage, Universal Law" bullshit. Could be amusing.

Going duck hunting at Carlysle in March took some balls and I gotta wonder how they got away with it until the public and media became involved. The Carlysle bunch is pretty well-organized and tight-knit.

There was another story similar to this where some guys shot some something or others....the locals witnessed, organized, called in and got the guys arrested.

Not at all. As long as it doesn't go in the ditch I couldn't care less what you kill or when you kill it.

Now, do you mean them and their family to eat, or to get eaten in general?

We as a population have proven we cannot be trusted with harvesting of animals. We nearly eradicated all game animals from this country at one point. So, IMO there does need to be some guidance as to how many and when something can be shot.

Living off the land is your right as a citizen, but it is the right of every other citizen, as well. So, if you are being irresponsible with that right, it would fall on government shoulders to prevent you from infringing on the other citizens' rights... how that is done is beyond me.

For you to do it, yes......a laughable offence.

For Jim or me to do it, it would be considered attempted assault with a deadly weapon.

So, what you are saying is, I have more experience wielding mine and know how to use it correctly, therefore present less of a threat than you.

Which goes to my argument of "they are the state's critters, and as such, I should be able to send them a bill when one of their deer or geese damages my vehicle or property".
