If it was me, the key switch would go bye bye and there would be an on/off toggle with a bush button start. Non of your electronics or lights should be tied to the ignition on a boat

Solenoid wasn't grounding out. Bitch fires right up now that I ****** rigged a wire from the bracket to the engine block.

Pretty sure John said it was a grounding issue. Although I'd say that if you gave him enough time, he would've had you replacing blinker relays in your truck. He was already headed that way.
