Never paid attention to it. I'll have to look next time. Our woods is about 50% red/white pine and the other half is aspen, and I've never noticed it.

I've noticed that when I am on hunting trips I eat like absolute shit. I'll buy a bag of chicken nuggets and some potato chips and just eat those. Any other time of the year I don't eat like that. I guess it boils down to whatever takes me the less time to eat so I can go to sleep faster.
