I thought this was going to be about the little white thing you gotta push in with a nail on the new attwood plastic gas tanks. I was having all kinds of trouble with mine until Insaneduck showed me the thing. Then he made it worse by showing me where it says all over the tank in raised letters to do it. lol

I do the first part to all my gas cans, never took it far enough to put a valve on the back. I do miss that valve though.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

I hate all these new style cans. Lawsuits caused all this safety crap. Blitz is shutting its doors because of stupid lawsuits now.

I have many old metal gas cans. They're all jacked up from my parents leaving gas or kerosene in them so long that the cans are "varnished" inside.
Cleaning it all out is a pita. Been tossing them because that and the spouts are all rusted.

Note: dont store gasoline that has not been stabilized. You will regret it.

You can clean them out pretty quick with denatured alcohol. Reuse it from can to can for the initial cleaning, then use clean stuff for the "rinse".

That is not ok.
The guys at work were using a windshield washer fluid bottle for mixed gas got the weedeaters and blowers, took about 3 days and the gas ate through it.

At least you could get the gas out of the jug, all new gas cans SUCK! Like you need an engineering degree to get the gas to pour.

And the fucking neck leaks around the base where it screws on on all of them.
