The ball valve piped up to the top will come in handy if you ever do a cookout at the prison. No need to bend over to set your temps.

Red you are lucky that you have a handle on the lid ready to go. Check out the way AT made his lid. He did it right, IMO
where're his plans or pictures?

That would probably work, or just toss the eel out on a regular hook. Sight casting to them is fun as crap.

The chicken turned out great. Better than shake and bake anyway. The eel turned out surprisingly good, but I can't figure out what to do with it. It's not like smoked salmon, can't serve it on a cracker or bagel. The recipes Google gave me sound strange. I can't see myself grabbing a piece of eel for a snack like I would with jerky. I have better ways of cooking them. I'm affraid it might be just a novelty for me.

That's what I was thinking- fire up the rice cooker, and just throw chunks of eel on top of a bowl of rice, sprinkle with some wasabi furikake.

Right on, I've never fished for sturgeon, but have seen them caught on TV. Big, old fish I reckon. Heard they are really good to eat too.

Not trying to be a jackass, but brining oysters seems a bit unnecessary?

It breaks my heart to think of a UDS soiled with cat food of any type.

But then again, I dont like fish. Yes, I have tried all of it, even walleye. Just not a catfood kinda guy

I do eat pussy.

Just can't stand fish, oysters, eel, CATFOOD.

Maryland is for crabs. I like those, and shrimp made correctly.

Love doing that shit. They started catching them here a few days ago. Gonna try to catch a few this weekend if the weather is right. But eels on a bare circle hook is what I do with eels when cobia fishing. I put a squid or a big gulp swimy tail on the bucktail jig.

Very quickly, I'd imagine. I do want to try some eel and some oysters on the smoker now, though.
