My power and water combined haven't been over 150 yet. Keep it on 76 during the day and 72 at night but we've had a very mild summer here.

I keep my shit on 74 all the time and it was still that high, although most days here in July were hitting high 90's and Aug seems like it will be the same.

Long summer with a winter that produces snow.
Cheap land
Not many people.

Ha! Good luck! We have crop land going for over $6000/acre, granted that isn't what you are probably looking for, but shit is expensive out here. The rest we've got covered. Hopefully by the time you retire shit will have stabilized.
a good insulation job in the crawl space (if you have one) would help, but probably wouldn't break even on a rentalOlly wrote:jehler wrote:you're renting right?Olly wrote:$200 power bill. Lived 5 years in the UP without an air conditioner, now every time this one kicks on it makes my wallet hurt.
