Me too. I have four on my wish list right now. New shotgun, a lever gun, a muzzle loader and a .300 whisper/blackout.

I want to finally own a quality auto loader but just like that damn huge TV I never buy it's a luxury I just can't ever bring myself to pull the trigger on.

I'm the same way. I keep fighting this piece of junk I got. That's a lot of money to throw at a shottie. And I'm trying to save for a new truck but keep spending all my money on trips.

Spent 5 hrs in cabelas the other day. I can't get my kids outa there when we go, its like taking them to Disney or something.
I wound up with a 4in1 wading jacket, quiver butt decoy, lanyard, and a boot dryer. Kids wound up with full size fishing poles and underspin reels. They also picked out a couple lures each.
On the way home I got my HIP cert, waterfowl and pheasant stamp, then stopped at the post office for my duck stamp. I'm ready and anxious now.

Pretty pleased. As long as they don't leak when I get in the water. I must say, too, the 3.5 is far more comfortable than the 5mm.

Seemed to me that the thinner neoprenes were less prone to creases and wearing out along them than the 5mm. (But they were still danged uncomfortable compared to so-called beathables.)

I started with 5mm thinking 5mm would automatically mean "warmer." Got the 3.5's and won't go back. Plenty warm enough for below 0

Can't imagine even wearing waders down there. Have to sweat your sack off. I sweat in 15 degree weather here, let alone what you guys have there early season.

Finally made my first waterfowl related purchase for the coming season today: 3 cases of 20ga Kent 2 3/4" Upland Steel 5s on "no tax" sale.

those 3/4 oz loads? That's jr's number on load besides the 6 hevi. Quite a killer. Those Kent's are almost identical to our home rolled

I guess that's not bad. FOr me, as long as I am shooting I don't get that chill. Going waist deep for one bird then spending 2 hours while nothing else flies is a killer when it's 0 out.

Just loose. I have a size 13 foot, so every pair of waders I've ever owned seems to assume that I'm 6' 10" tall.

I'm not.

In the north part of the state, where I am, it gets cold. Granted not cold to y'all but I've had my waders freeze solid a few times. Water gets into the 40's here. Usually have a thin sheet of ice a few from tge bank a few times a year. But it never freezes up.

I've got the opposite, kind of. 10.5 foot and I think they assume everyone is 120lbs with a 10.5 shoe size. My 3.5s are a borderline wetsuit fit.

that river water is chilly, be 75 degrees and when you pass a big tug you can feel the cold behind him from the prop wash, a lot different there than I expected

Guess I never assumed it would be. Most pictures I see are of people sweating and batting insects off their face.

I think I walk-in too much for breathables. Not usually very far, but lots of greenbriers. Then I'm usually sitting on the ground in some makeshift "blind". I just don't think I'd trust breathables.

And I'm not sure what communist asshat decided that half-sizes would stop at 11.5, but I hate it. 12.5 would probably be perfect. But I'll never know.

I think L.L. Bean custom makes sizes, but please don't look at their prices. We don't need to lose you.
