Today's 70 degrees kicked Charlie's butt. He's asleep now in the shade and probably won't wake up til dinner time

Try training in 95 degrees and 100% humidity. Instead of one long session I'm doing two 10-15 min sessions a day. Any more then that and you can watch his energy drain like dying batteries.

Charlie's sessions don't last but 15-20 min anyhow, regardless of the weather. Maybe longer if we're training with my buddy, but that's cause he's just sittin and honoring

Well me and my pup were making good progess until the first week of August. He been off and on sick now for going on over three weeks. I thought he was over it as he was doing really well for a week and a half until last night and this morning he couldn't keep any food in him. Now its looking like he has a partial intestinal blockage but they weren't able to tell for sure off his x-rays today. So now he can't eat for the night and will need to get another x-ray on an empty stomach tomorrow to hopefully find whatever is fucking with him and then surgery tomorrow if its needed. Been a long fucking day of waiting for my phone to ring and I'm sure tomorrow will be the same.

Hope everything is going good for everybody else

Went to a training spot I haven't been to yet this year. It's overall my favorite place to train. Got alittle bit of everything. But it's been so damn warm lately that it was overrun with algae. And I couldn't tell if it was blue-green algae or not. Decided not to chance it and just took the dogs to one of our brant hunting spots for some exercise in the bay. Was a beautiful day

Thanks for the thoughts fellas. He just got out of surgery. No obstruction but they found he had a torsion(sp?) that stopped flow through his intestines and got that all straightened out. He has to stay overnight with the vet comes back home tomorrow

Went swimming today.

He didn't do bad, but was more interested in the geese than his friend or his friend's ball. Not sure if that's good or bad, but he had fun. Ran like hell playing with the neighbors dog, "swam" a little (although "flailed around through the water" would probably be more accurate.

He watched Buddy jump off the dock about 6 times, and I was wondering when Dutch's "brakes" were gonna fail, but they didn't. Although it was close a couple times.

We're going again tomorrow. Is that first pic from the video you posted a while back? In the "a dog needs a tail to swim" argument?

These were from this morning. Was his 1st ever jumping off a dock, ge was getting real comfortable with it. I'd like to see how well he maneuvered and handled if he had a tail!
