Hey Aaron- Did QH Paw have dates? We are doing the DHC deek and could do this one then as well if still open. I will get out when I get the truck back but it will be short trips in between moose and caribou.
just look at the dates at the beginning of this thread and see if any work for you

OK, did that, will hunt with you guys over it at the WCH and maybe with QH as we go back up north. We may have to stop in Oregon and shoot some ducks with Tripod, not the owner, but the dog:) The only dates I could hunt it are September and those dates are filled. Thanks for thinking of me Aaron

And so it begins, DH stopped on his way home and I passed off the decoy to him to get this started.
I threw a journal in the box and hope the decoy serves everyone well. If anything happens and it needs repairing let me know.
And thanks again for allowing me to provide a decoy, its an honor gents.

As expected the skies were empty for opening morning. Got set up at 6 and didn't see a bird in the sky. The decoy looks great on the water.

But he has a butt load of duck calls, so that must count for something.

Red I got a question. Do we sign traveling decoys or do I just fill out the journal? Don't care how you want it done.

That's what I've done in the past. Don't want to step on any toes and do something without a go ahead.

I'm okay with that. I'll put it in all caps across the keel if you would like.

Fellas if you want to sign it have at it. It's all about the memories plus hopefully when it's raffeled off it will be something special for someones shelf.

Nope. Saw some geese but they wanted nothing to do with us. I think they were hitting up one of the corn fields down the highway. I'd do it again though just to get out there and play in the water. Oh, we did see the beaver that has been digging a hole in the dam. Hit him pretty good but don't know if I killed him or not. He was swimming when we showed up and it was still really dark.
