got my comp check, may very well come home with an AR today!

Just build one. Holy shit, man, you can build a good rifle for less than $600, and it's easy as pie. And there's no FFL.

how is there no FFL? how do you get the lower? i may do this, just went to sportsmans and they didn't have anything i liked.

He got an unfinished 80% lower. Not a "weapon".

Well, you can buy billet 80% lowers, but they're a little more, and you most likely can't finish it yourself. At least not without special tools. Here's where I got mine from, and I have zero complaints. It's kevlar reinforced, and they have a lifetime warranty. And hey, polymer has worked for Glock for how many years?

It's Kevlar reinforced composite. Not plastic. Therefore nuke proof.
