Just went to cabelas yesterday for the same thing.

Went with the armor-flex 3.5mm.

Good christ, 14?

Yeah but the problem with having that big of feet is I'm only 5'10" and I think the waders are made for someone 7' tall and 350lbs. I feel like mc hammer in these things.

No shit. I wear a 13, and am only 6'. I think I could probably pull my noggin in turtle-style on my waders.

The suspenders don't fit me quite right, like the straps in the back should have been 2-3" shorter.

Might want to take a harder look at those suspenders. They have Velcro tabs that afford some adjustment in the back. (Mine are spot on as is.)

its adjusted as far as I can get it. I might just sew them up.

far as I can tell only two brant calls are manufactured. This Haydels was the cheaper of the two and not so sure how necessary call is anyhow

should be interesting to see how well you do with the call vs no call, how do you normally get them?

and that thing looks way too top heavy for high speed highway patrol maneuvers, seriously. the body roll in that picture makes me cringe.

have only hunted with my buddy in the past and he calls. But they're stupid birds. This season will be my first on my own with the brant

Believe it or not it's pursuit rated. Built on a taurus chassis. Not like the old explorers. Sits as low as the crown vics. AWD too. As fast as the CVs, but quicker and blows their doors off in curves. Handles like a dream. I can do things in this I never could do in the CVs

I had to look up what a Brant sounds like. How do you make that sound with the call?

It wasn't a call maker, its British Broadcasting. I tried different bird watcher sites and what not to find a sound file. None would play on my phone.

Bill Saunders makes one. Cost $65 though.
