Working cows doesn't make the cowboy. I'm plenty proud to have heard two old Cajun cowboys agree, "Rick's got the hoo-doo on them cows.", but I can't claim to be one of 'em. Just a good hand in the pen or as a rider (whose favorite horse is called "borrowed stock"). Cows and folks who own and work them are thick in my part of the country, but cowboys are a whole lot fewer and farther between. And a lot of the folks I've seen anxious to point out "All hat, no cows." are pretty much just that, too.

Simmental can have some wild colors and patterns. normally they wont throw this pattern but every once in a while it happens. this year it happened about 5 times.
they sure are pretty esp the red and whit ones.
i have one longhorn cow left. i bought 3 of them 26 years. i will try and post up a photo of her later tonight. she always has a great looking calf.
