Man, if you are wanting to cram another body in at jarbos cozy little house you are gonna have to let him bunk with you....

We had a long talk on the phone last night. We are both looking forward to this hunt. It rained again yesterday, its been the rainest fall we have had in years. Should make for some good hunting.

Also, we agreeded on one thing- drinking or party be damned, if there are ducks working, we are going to make long, all day hunts out of it. A hangover wont stop any thing, be forwarned.

I'm shopping for a slide in camper for my truck right now. If I find one in time I'll be using that.
about twice a year I wish I had one. But the rest of the year I prefer an open bed. I'm torn

(*Disclaimer- Do not take anything I say serious)

I mean one of those actual camper deals. Not a enclosed top.

If you aren't planning to take it to high school football games, and post parties that would probably be a waste...

I have a lot of trips I want to take over the next few years. Also planning on driving out to the 2015 West coast hunt. It'll pay for itself.

Remember two things...

1. You may not have the same truck over the next few years. Make sure whatever you get can be swapped out easily.

2. You keep getting older, and they stay the same age...

Having a Ranger like that would be badass.

I had a 78 high boy Ranger for one summer a few years ago. Sold it for double what I paid.

Best I've done is an 86 ford with aluminum camper shell. We insulated everything, ran heater hoses and installed a heater from a bus. Carpet and pad plus 2 beanbags, we hunted in style 20 years ago.

The more little things I fix on that truck the more I'm driving it and the more I want to push the time frame for body work and new paint and make it my daily driver. I just got new injectors and an install kit a few days ago that are the next thing to be fixed on it. It needs new tires before I'd take it long distance but I might be showing up at the NCH in it if I can swing them by mid Dec.

"You'll learn"

I doubt I could even fit in one of those much less sleep in one.

Whoops I didn't see that. I don't take anything John says seriously and half the time I don't finish reading his post.
