Was a great day, nephews first duck hunt. Had quite a few work the dekes, was solely focused on him getting his first birds. Hope I can find him a pheasant this weekend, not gonna be easy.

Got back out yesterday morning, public marsh action. Pintails worked great, plus Taz got his first coot retrieve. Even had a visitor from the state, nicest warden I've ever met, worthy of having a picture taken with the traveler.

Marginal goose hunt turned successful pheasant hunt. No wind and 50 degrees wasn't making for a great morning so we decided to chase pheasants instead. Killed both birds we saw, plus a bonus suzie that cruised us while we were walking. Fried pheasant on the menu tonight!
