I've found it also works excellent with teal breast. Little bit size pieces of gold.

Hard to imagine someone fucking up a rice and gravy dish. Then, again, you can't kill a pintail, either...

Hell, it could be the best rice and the best gravy in the world. But they just shouldn't go together. I suspect it's the Army that ruined that for me, although I don't much care for "American" rice.

And you're on my list.

Ask a little Cajun kid what he wants to eat, and you're a hell of a lot more likely to hear "rice and gravy" than "chicken nuggets".

Did I mention that most of those little farts raised on rice and gravy are killing pintails by the time they're ten?

Sirloin steak, twice- baked potatoes, sweet corn from last summer, and whatever salad she brings home this time.

Is chow chow that stuff that's sort of like chopped up cole slaw/relish/dressing? If so, I love it. But still don't like gravy on rice. I only like sticky, oriental-type rice, and I can think of nothing more disgusting than putting gravy on a rice like that.

This. Structure-less rice is nasty, and gravy doesn't belong there.

I don't care what anyone grew up with, still nasty.

The scoter and gravy was awesome, if I made it myself, it would go over taters.
