Ronnie can seriously turn works of art. All you have to do is tell him you want a wood end cap and it is done.

Quilted Ash Crotch wood. Stabilized and dyed green.

I'm very happy with it. I think a matching cap on the insert would put it over the top.

I have never seen that wood before but he also has stuff me and you have never even heard of. Gotta love stumps craftsmanship though.

Damn that's a pretty call.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

Thanks guys. It's going to stay that way. He is out of that wood right now, and doesn't seem to come across it often.

This is all rebel's fault. He sent one to me to try, and it was the best call I have ever run. I haven't seen Ron produce a bad call from pictures, and started the order process immediately.

It looks better than I expected...

He produces one hell of a call. I'm excited to try the new tone board which is in the lady's call.

She has started looking at wood blanks online. I told her I didn't have enough money to support 2 call collecting habits. They all really knocked it out of the park. The picture of the AC does it zero justice compared to in hand. The other calls are at my apartment in western ky she will get those next Sunday.

Does the ac have his new acrylic guts in it? I've been wondering how they run. Seems acrylic would never "break in" so to speak.

No they have edges because I requested them. My call had the acrylic guts but they just didn't suit me. I threw in a set of OTE and it made that call a whole different animal.
