I meant to get in touch with you. We came through late in the afternoon and I doubt my dad and uncle would have wanted to stop, even for a hunt. Couldn't beleive how many mallards we didn't shoot. Other years they have made up easily half the bag, this yea we shot 5. We've maybe shot 3 or 4 widgeon there in the 6 years I've been going and this year we shot almost twenty. Gadwalls and ringers were there like always. Saw lots of pintails but couldn't get them down.

Cedar Vale area. Winfield lake keeps the surrounding area well stocked, especially when the small water freezes up.
