What book you reading?

Postby R. Chapman » Fri Jan 17, 2014 12:19 am

Right now I'm reading "To Hell with Honor"; it tells the story about Custer and his key roll in the Battle of the Little Big Horn. The author; Larry Sklenar, is a scholar who did 8 years of research before writing this book. Quite interesting to say the least.

Custer had a key "roll" in the Little Big Horn? You don't say. In all seriousness, that battle is an interesting read.

I know that but it tells a different point of view than what most depictions of the battle explain it. It's a good read for sure and had my attention from page one.

Being the eldest son means I inherit the farm. Not sure I even want the tillable acres but I TOTALLY want the 50 acre creek bottom, the 80-acre woods, and the 100-acre woods. My mom grows ginseng in there plus...DEER!
Sadly, I feel like this summer will be it.
Am NOT looking forward to it because of the hoard that's stored on it in the "clubhouse".
It's going to turn me into an Illinois version of GKR.
