Microchips... A local dnr officer tried to tell my buddy that they have released a certain number of ducks on the wmas with microchips in them and it senses when the bird is dead and they come to your house to take the chip out of the bird...lol. All to scare him into signing in and out at the check station before/after hunting the wma. I could be wrong but I call horse shit on this.

I didn't know of any state that had a possession limit on snows other than those in the Pacific flyway

Didn't get out as much as I usually do. That and the drought conditions kept my numbers pretty low. Probably 50 ducks and I dont target geese but sometimes they drop in to the spread. 10 geese so far but our duck season ends this Sunday and geese goes until mid February.

We don't have snows. We barely have ducks and Canadas. ill never have to worry about a possession limit as long as I hunt in Georgia.

Alright that is more reasonable.

Above average numbers of redheads and gadwalls. Not as many bufflehead, fewer blackheads than last year. Everything else is about normal. As far as total numbers, I have no idea.

Every year I tell myself that this year I'm going to keep track of the ducks I kill and then just blow it off. I believe that I personally killed between 40-60 ducks and that amounts to less than half the number from the previous season. Really a poor year around here.
