The mention of salt just reminded me. This reminds me a lot of the argument I had with the dumbass on DHC who claimed that if you didn't put salt down BEFORE ice or snow, it wouldn't melt it. Stuck to his guns for quite a while.

At temperatures below 20 F...salt starts to become ineffective. Spraying salt water onto a ten degree road surface makes salty ice.
I actually drove on that shit in 4x4 this morning.

Whole expressway was coated in ice yesterday. Didn't know it when I merged on...got on the gas and my front end started spinning instantly. Everyone was doing 40 and it still took a 1/4 mile to slow down enough for my exit. Slickest roads I've ever been on.

Wow! Just, WOW! This is the greatest troll thread in WFF history!! I wish I had started it! My brain fucking hurts after reading some of the stupid posts on here though.

This reminds me of a conversation I had with a friend of mine years ago. She was convinced she was more in control of her car going faster than if she went slower. I told her she was an idiot.

If you think you have more control in a rear wheel drive vehicle in the snow than a front wheel drive or 4 wheel drive......

Good luck to the guy who is going ride the moped in the snow, please video that shit!!! I hope your have great insurance.

And my final thought- Why the fuck are you living somewhere with that much fucking snow!! MOVE!! I hear Texas is awesome!!

I drove my mini bikes in the snow all the time. Fun as shit. As close to a moped as I'm going to get.

This is retarded. I can't even keep up with you guys. Every time I look there is like ten more pages.

I'm not going to say 4by or front wheel is worse in the snow if that's what you keep trying for. Betty is off his rocket on this though. The only way you can TURN as well in the snow with front or 4by is when the front tires are idle, making them the same as rear wheel.
