i will refrain from talking about rifles and extreme accuracy and precision from this time forward.
but rex just shut the fuck up

Guess I didn't get the joke, Gene was just pulling my chain and I was dumb enough to take it. I could care less if it shot 2" groups at 100, just going to be used as a hunting rifle. $500 and I get 100 pieces of Lapua brass, and dies. Plus I have some H4350 to use with it. Should be rocking and rolling with it in a few weeks.

Set of 6 foot gates so I can make a 12 foot drive thru into my back yard. So many possibilities have just been opened up, by being able to access my back yard with a vehicle. Maybe even a boat shed and parking my truck in the back if I feel like it.

Not a purchase, but a trade. I gave my neighbor 20 rounds of .243 that I wasn't going to use, and in return he gave me 50 rounds of Kent Fasteel 3 1/2 in. 1 9/16 oz. 3 shot, since he doesn't have a 3 1/2 gun anymore. I normally don't shoot 3 1/2's, and I would never pay money for them, but I couldn't pass up trading $13 worth of bullets for $40 worth of bullets.

Any of them cheap shells kill ducks the same as the gimmicks. Either way you look at it, steel is still steel. I wish my pop was into duck hunting but he's more into buck hunting and watching his Jets. What gun you going to be shooting those through?

I know the cheap shells kill 'em dead a shit, but we are switching from blindsides, so the kents are cheaper. I'm shooting 'em through a Remington 887. I know people talk alot of shit about them, but mine hasn't failed me yet, you just have to wipe it down and put gun oil on it after every other hunt.

I don't see any wrong with them. They're definately lighter than your standard 870. That's one thing I'm bad about is cleaning my 870 after each trip. Sometimes it's half mud. I've treated that gun like shit, no doubt about it.

It was cool getting those sells because my neighbor said he had 25 rounds of 3 1/2" BB. So I said I'll take 'em, thinking I would jusr carry around 6-9 while I was hunting, in case I seen any canada's next year, but I got hoime from school today to a plastic bag with 50 rounds of 3 1/2" #3's, which is what we use universally.

I forget to clean my 887 all the time. I usually oil it like I'm supposed to, and only wipe down the external after the season. I acually forgot about it once this season for a week inside of a wet hardcase, and I only had a little rust on the sling swivels, no actual gun parts rusted. By the end of the season the buttstock is coated with blood and mud.

3s are really impressive on geese. When I had a Benelli M2, I shot the Winchester Supremes 3" #3s. I went goose hunting with a buddy and his pop. We all got our limit of 4 each in 45 mins. That last honker I hit had to have been about 45 yards and just crumpled him. It sucked for Conor, being the youngest has its disadvantages. He had to haul all twelve of those greaters about 1 mile. He was beat to say the least.

Yep, I watched my cousin crumple a honker with a 2 3/4 #4 this year. It's all about shot placement. It was cool too, because it was his second goose and it dishragged in one shot. I usually try to give honkers a little more lead to try and hit them in the head.

Head gaskets, Valley, coolant, oil change, new glow plugs for the diesel. It's warming up so it's finally time to get working in the engine again.

New stern light base and a 4' light pole for my boat. Tired of looking right into the damn light whenever I turn around.
