This is something I can't stand. The brush buster jacket mentioned above does not have drain holes in the bottom pocket. I'm in water deeper than the bottom pocket a lot and when you climb back in the blind it sucks to have to dump your pocket. It always results in wet sleeves and everything in the blind getting soaked.

I'm with bufflehead on this one. Leave the drain holes in. The guys that hunt where the ducks are and, in all weather conditions need them. I hate the fact that I have to dump my lower pockets out on my newest 4-1 from Cabelas. It's like they listened to one of those fair weather duck hunters. I'm planning on taking a hole puncher and making a drain hole in both lower pockets.
Anyone knows, you gotta get water in your pockets if you want a pintail.

x2 on the drain holes. Huge plus when you're crossing the river at high tide!

I think it's because they're cheaply made plastic zippers- the edges of the teeth may not be completely smooth, something. I doubt it's the salt so much as all the fine sand and whatnot that's in the saltwater, that "clogs up" the zipper, and makes it not work. And when the zipper has "unfinished" edges on it, it just makes the problem worse, faster.

Removable lining, detachable hood, draw string or belt at the waist, large pockets and an inside water proof pocked.... and a free barrel sticker with every purchase.

Not trolling. New member from South Louisiana. I've been duck hunting in Pecan Island since 1980, and started mountain hunting about 10 years ago. In my mountain hunting pursuits, there's technical, waterproof gear that is lightweight albeit somewhat expensive. The hunting conditions are comparable to waterfowl hunting, but there's a void in comparable gear for waterfowl hunting. I'm just floating ideas as food for thought.

We sink floating ideas and make them into fish food.
