Debatable.

it looks like that data was for the mini crash in March, 1929.

1. Real estate speculation (bubble collapsed)
2. Easy Credit
3. Everyone was/is in the stock market
Those are the three factors that led up to the great depression.
Exactly.

yeah, i don't plan on doing that. about the most i ever need is a 500 buck limit anyway. I was paying everything off too fast so i wasn't building any credit, so now i carry a small balance to try and build up.
assateague wrote:I said "never again" to the credit cards about 20 years ago. And now my credit is shitty because I don't owe anybody anything.
Like I said, societal collapse is a pretty good alternative to the fucked up system we have going now.
assateague wrote:Right there with ya. Pretty bad when "societal collapse" is a fairly attractive alternative.

I can't believe Americans still buy in to that bullshit. Do you realize how ridiculous that is? If you keep good credit, you'll have good credit.
Don't build credit, save up for what you want and/or need.
The credit treadmill is exactly why our finances are where they are, as a country and as a planet.
