I would shoot it at least 500 time to "smooth it up" if you will. That'd be a big kick in the balls to have a malfunction when you need it the most.

This ain't a 1911. I figure around 200 and very rare malfunctions, I will be confidant.

Who did you take your class with? Any recommendations?

Local shop. Atwood Armory for 225 for all 16 hrs. Check out the forum on illinoiscarry.com for recommendations up there. A great resource for all things gun related in IL. And all laws for that matter.

That's what I've been looking at. Semi local guy does one at his house for $150.

I think the fingerprinting is on top of that though

I didn't do fingerprints. I don't want to give them fuckers anything more than the bare minimum.

Even then, I would take all precautions necessary if my life were to depend on it in a split life or death situation. Maybe I'm just too anal about it.

I was like that as well. I figure if the gods want me to get mugged, then my gun to malfunction, it doesn't matter how much I prepare.....

And this is my summer/deep concealment gun anyway. I will carry my Para when I can.

Just bought and replaced the tensioner pulley on my truck.

A couple weeks ago it was the wheel bearing. They definitely build these things to start falling apart at 100,000 miles.

i mean the laws in general. IL is actually a very conservative state excluding taxes and corruption

you can even have short barreled rifles with a small permit fee. and we are the same as the other states where full auto and suppressors are concerned. and our self defense statute is excellent. better than a castle doctorine.

all that said, i still want out. the taxes and corruption is too much to swallow.....

For sure. There is a lot that's tucked away that most don't know.

I probably wouldn't know much if my friends weren't cops though

Hell, regular roasters around here are about $6-$7 a piece, and that's here in Chickenland. SO if you got more than 8 chickens, you got a hell of a deal.
