Nope. Some of my rods have about 30 feet of line on them, that's it. It breaks, tie on a new leader. When it's too short to cast, THEN I re-spool it. Except the saltwater rods. I'll re-spool them every couple years or so. When you fling 8 ounces of weight on a 14' rod, and watch all that shit go flinging off the end into the ocean, it makes me sad.

My fishing experience is mostly bank poles, trotlines, frogging, and some bass, crappy, and panfishing.
You guys could have a lot of fun messin w/me with your seaside stuff. I'm from Illinois. There wasn't even any lakes here to speak of when I was a kid. They all got built when I was in grade school.

I love taking guys like that surf fishing. A buddy of mine's a big bass/crappie fisherman from Missouri. Took him a half day to figure out how to cast a surf rod more than 6 feet. Was cracking me up.

You guys could have a blast laughing your asses off at me trying to look like I know what I'm doing. Sounds like fun until theres a huge hook stuck in the back of my neck. :fishing:

Its not that likely. The rods are so long that it would take you trying to get it in your neck. I've never used 8 oz weights, mostly 4-6, but I assume its a lot like how we catfish at the lake.

Yep it's quite a bit, but at $8.50 for two spools, I couldn't pass it up. Some of my reels need the line changed before I start fishing again anyway.

Hard sided ice fishing rod box off Amazon for $38. "hold up to 8 rods" (if they don't have reels)

Not overly impressed with the feel of the plastic. Can't imagine it will take a lot of a beating, but it's better than my soft sided carrier that I have to finagle to get two in.

Every man should have a pink box to keep his rods stored in. :)

Ah, crap, I can't do it. Don't really have a clue how well they work, but can say the standard version broke me off neoprenes.

Truth.

As awesome as I thought neoprene was when I ditched my old Red Ball canvas waders, the breathables are that much better. I can't wait to see what technology does next.
