Maybe the hostess just farted prior to your walking in and you just missed out on the best seafood in town.

Shouldve given the back story. The place looks like a rat hole. It used to be called manhattans and was just regular food. It was dirty as shit. Then they closed it down, and remodeled it into a seafood place. Same ownership. When it first opened it was clean and pretty good, but they must just be nasty asses bc it's already back to disgusting conditions.

My first real job was in a restaurant. On my 16th birthday I got a job at The Round Barn. It's A BBQ place now.

Worked in several food places and it always amazed me of what attention to detail they spent on cleaning the kitchen but NOT the dining room. There was always some family whose whole purpose of going out to eat was so they didn't have to clean up the food fight from their five kids. Them kind of people never tip.

After working in several restaurants and cafeterias there is almost no way you can drag me out to eat. I know way too much about how their food is delivered, where it comes from, how it's stored, how it's prepared, and delivered.

Paying someone a premium price for "restaurant quality" food is foolish because you can prepare much better quality at home at a fraction of the cost. The risk of catching botulism is lower as well.

It's a dreary assed day so made some nice cinnamon raisin bread. Will put icing on it after a bit. Will go nice with some fresh coffee and basketball.

Man oh man, do I ever enjoy the barbecue plate at Smithfield's. Brunswick stew and hush puppies to go along with it.

I just ate what was possibly the best adobada torta ever. It was nearly as big as a subway sandwich and tasted 10X better. My judgement may also be skewed by the fact that I hadn't really eaten anything all day.

I'll make a comparison you'll get:
It was way better than whale blubber.
