I was only about 12 miles from the Mexico border, so these sort of cash deals happened a lot. Easier for them to come across and buy a car here in the states than to buy one back home. You should've seen them when they came up for yard sales on the weekends. All the Ford F-150s with "LOBO" badges where the "f150" goes, loaded down with junk in a way that put the Beverly Hillbillies to shame, all rolling back south by mid-afternoon.

Yeah, they've got that shit all over their trucks. Means "wolf", and apparently they fancy themselves worthy of the title. Seems a little silly, when you're driving a truck loaded up to the gills with other people's cast offs to term yourself a "wolf". Maybe "buzzard" would be more like it.

This is the what the F-150's sold in Mexico are called. It comes from the factory that way. Most F-150 are made in Mexico anyhow and they can't call them the same thing because the Mexican trucks don't have to meet the same emission standards.

The Mexicans are covering up the "USA made pos ford" by putting the LOBO on. It probably drives up the value or why would cheap-assed AT/mehicans do it?

They call themselves wolves because they try and rip you to shreds through haggling. Doesn't matter what price you mark shit, there ain't no way they're gonna pay it. Then when you say no deal it sometimes gets to the verge of a fistfight.
