Oh and for the record I wasn't so much as trying to steal members as trying to pass you guys a life line. I have tried several times to help you guys stop the spam and it's obvious that the owners won't get that under control and don't give a shit about your members there or the site there.

Thought it would be a nice gesture to remind people over there, there is another forum that doesn't have any of those issues with a very active user base and where the owner actually cares about the site and the members.

It may be allowed here, and that's fine, but its still not allowed there and you know it. Other than completely ignoring our spam problem, I have very little to gripe about vs. They let us run the forum as we see fit.

You've got a really good thing going here Olly, I don't know why you still have this need to prove anything to DHC. Who is your gripe with there still? Cgh is gone. Nick Roehl is gone, chris is gone...Why not focus on what sets you apart, instead of trying to continually parallel dhc? Your own mpt, and Hawaii forum among other things? Cmon. Although it reads this way, there isn't any condecention in what I'm saying, in fact quite the opposite.

How long are you guys going to take care of something that clearly means nothing to its owner?

Would you feed, train, and care for my dog?
Put gas in my car?
Make my mortgage payments??

I'm not sure I understand your argument. You focus on the fact that were not owned by a hunter, but when I say they let us as hunters run the place as we see fit that is also a bad thing.

I didn't write the rules on DHC, but it is my job to make sure they are implemented objectively. Until la hunter, dep6, swamp, and I change them, I will.continue to do so. Distance yourself from DHC and the membership will continue to come like it already has. No lifelines or olive branches needed.

The bigger ship has changed course several times it's hard to say which way it'll go next.

The honey hole is about half-spam. They are under attack from some serious spammers that we never see here (for some reason).

The quality of content is awful and that's what they are "selling".
The sponsors are most likely concerned with "hit numbers". I find myself going over there less and less, therefore looking at their ads less and less. THAT is a problem for the sponsors.

Suppose you joined a website this morning and found that half the threads are spam.
You might consider finding something else...and they are.
That's the actual topic here but it's under a veil.

I think most of what they are referring to is...

1) That the grand majority of the regulars here were once the regulars there.
2) They have a lot of members who get on, post once or twice then never come back.
3) The owners who Chris sold it to seem to have little interest in investing time or money in the site. (the spam problem)
4) There are some intentional dickheads over there, they scare off the new guys before they can even get comfortable.
5) There is a lot of hostility between members
6) and there are cliques
