Thinking about moving the RatCam over to one of the 110s I have baited with cheese, just because I think it may be more entertaining, but I do really want to see how they can strip a regular trap without tripping it. Sort of torn, I am.

Clearly you need to buy another RatCam.....

I would've, but this was the last one left on the clearance rack at Walmart. It's a Simmons, with infrared lighting, video, the whole 9 yards, but they only had one. I would've bought them all, I think, had I been there soon enough.

Go back and see if they have any Bushnell trophy cams left.

Just had a stroke of genius. Got all this saltwater taffy (which I hate) laying around. Gonna go bait the traps with this, instead of peanut butter and cheese. Want to see this bastard get this sticky junk off without tripping it.

Got one more tucked behind the dresser. Swapped out a 110 for the tripped rat trap. Hope that cocksucker tries it again.

Stopped it right after he set it off, took a few times but I got it. The bar nailed him between his ears and eyes.

I wonder if he died off camera and that last jump was just death throes or he just got his bell rung real good. Crazy video.

Here's a video from the RatCam last night. Sorry for the quality. Apparently, the infrared light reflects too much when it's inside, pointed at a door which is only 4 feet away, rather than out in the woods.

But you can see this fucker is large. And walks right up to the conibear, before turning and walking around it. Then it must have hit the conibear on the other side, because that's the one that's tripped. This is pissing me off.

I've got 9 more 110s, and they're going all over the shop tonight.

Why spread them out? Try putting a bunch next to each other with the cam pointed at them. It will be the worlds most dangerous rat buffet.

Try it, you never know. Might get him to accidentally set off a trap as it eats the bait off another one.

Ok, hit a new set up tonight. Put a 110 in his preferred path from last night, and closed his other avenue if approach with some chicken wire and my clam splitter.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1397360744.518354.jpg

Made a sort of bucket set with another 110, and baited it with a cinnamon raisin scone. (You can see this set on the left in the first pic.)

Relocated the RatCam to hopefully get some better pics. Further away and up a bit.

I don't expect much tonight, because I just finished brainstorming and fucking around with the traps. Sprinkled some scone crumbs around to give him a taste.

Buy the stuff in blocks with a hole in the middle, a few different companies are making that style now. You nail the block to a piece of wood and the mice have to eat it to get some. We had problems with the pellets, we would find nests full of pellets. The blocks work great, kills them faster and less poison stashed in the nests.

You guys go start your cheating poison thread elsewhere. Poison is for women and medieval royalty to use, not men.

On a side note, I put 6 mouse traps in the attic. Probably too late now, since it's warming up and they'll be headed back outside, but I listened to those bastards running through the ceiling all winter long.
