Still use it too. Killed probably 1000 carp with it. Way better than some movie can do. :-D

I've seen some pretty good shit been had at garage sales for little money. I got a handmade Bowie knife for a quarter once.

I got a bow for $.50.

I got a Rock Chucker Press for $10 one time.

I once bought 12 bowling pins (from the 50s), a set of walkie-talkies (good up to 5 miles), and fly fishing rod/reel... all for 5 bucks.

Damn good deal. I need to find a new fly reel this summer but I'm not in the best place to find that kind of stuff.

I love going to garage sales... I've bought well over 100 G&H decoys, 50+ salmon spoons, downriggers, rods/reels, 10lb canaon ball weights, etc... for pennies on the dollar. Most of the stuff is still in use.

Almost all of my fishing stuff comes from garage sales or trades days. Estate sales are my favorite, cause you can buy all the old solid built stuff from somebody's kids that don't have a clue what it is.

I prefer old people's garage sales, where they have gotten to old and have decided to hang it up. If you talk to them you can learn about some honey holes or techniques that only they know. Plus they are usually really cool old dudes.

Bought a box of Ambasadeurs from a guy like that once.

I'm sure I wouldn't. You're probably one of those dickheads that looks everything up on the Internet then prices it. No offense.

Yup...most of the stuff at my garage sales isn't my personal stuff. I price it to sell but not giving it away either. Always love it when a so called picker comes by trying to bs me.

I understand you do it as a second job, not just to get rid of junk. The people that really piss me off are the companies that will come in and do a garage/estate sale for you. All their prices on hunting/fishing gear are outrageous and make no sense.

Yeah, I agree with ya on those people. Always best to turn that stuff over. No one wants to see the same stuff at your garage sales time after time.

I totally agree on the karma thing.
Example:
One goose season I was having a hell of a time keeping on em. Was driving all over northeast Champaign county scouting. I hunted that area for honkers for several years. One day I noticed a field had finally been harvested hastily and there were piles of corn in it. Meant it was baited so I cleaned every kernel up and took it to the roost. (Golf course) and fed the geese about 100 gallons of corn. (20 buckets)
Well, for two straight weeks after that I was getting easy limits at the field I'd cleaned up. "What bait?"
The golf course was six miles away. Go figure...

Wife got this for Milo. He figured out his imaginary collar don't work. Lost it in deep water. For a while I could fool him by just showing him the transmitter.
This one charges in two hours instead of 14. It has vibrate, tone, and 7 levels.

I've bought J-Plugs at garage sales for a dime aspiece that I can turn around and sell for 20$ whenever I want. The good ones aren't made anymore.

Nice. My farmer buddy in Egypt has one and I'll warn you that short people (like me) will walk out through the side and if they ain't careful can slice an ear off on the bottom edge. Maybe yours is different but his was somewhat sharp. Scratched myself on the noggin on his.
